Method and device for determining the 3D coordinates of an object

The method involves projecting a strip pattern on an object (2), and receiving and evaluating light reflected from the object, where the pattern is projected on the object by an image producing unit or a mirror array or an LCD display. Light is supplied to the object from a light source (4) via a fluid light conductor (5) for producing the pattern. Recorded image data is stored in a camera memory and is transmitted for evaluation. Reflectivity of the object and adjustment of brightness of the strip pattern takes place in an iterative manner. An independent claim is also included for a device for determination of the three dimensional coordinates of an object.
