PURPOSE: An oil filtration apparatus using hydride metal oxides and a method thereof are provided to economically and rapidly produce grinding oil with the moisture content less than 100ppm. CONSTITUTION: An oil filtration apparatus capable of removing the moisture using hydride metal oxides comprises the following: an oil inlet(11) formed on the upper side to insert oil with the moisture; a hydride metal oxide feed hopper(12) installed closely to the oil inlet; a mixing reactor with an oil drain(13) on the lower side and a receiving unit(14); a hydrogen exhaust pipe(15) for discharging hydrogen, installed on the upper side of the mixing reactor; a compulsory discharge unit discharging the hydrogen by force; and a filter connected to the oil drain.
