METHOD OF MEASURING NONLINEAR RESISTANCE OF STATOR COIL IN DYNAMO-ELECTRIC MACHINE, AND NONLINEAR RESISTANCE MEASURING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for estimating characteristics of a field relief layer given to a stator coil end more precisely than before.

SOLUTION: In a nonlinear resistance measuring device of a stator coil mounted to a dynamo-electric machine, the field relief layer 44 is disposed while being wound around an outer periphery of a conductor 41 at an edge 24 of the stator coil. The nonlinear resistance measuring device includes: a measuring means of measuring surface potential at a plurality of places (n0-n6) of the field relief layer 44 while the field relief layer 44 has been disposed at the edge 24; and an estimating means of estimating current voltage characteristics of the field relief layer 44 by surface potential measured at two prescribed places (for example, n3, n4) from among the measured surface potential.
