PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system capable of preventing an auxiliary device from connecting to one port which is a part out of a plurality of communication ports, when connecting the auxiliary device against the main device in which a plurality of communication ports corresponding to the common communication standard are installed. SOLUTION: The communication system includes the main device 10 and an auxiliary device connected to the main device 10 via a communication cable 20. The communication cable 20 includes: an insertion part 21 inserted into the main device 10; a grasping part 22 grasped by a user when extracting the communication cable 20; and a protruding part 24 formed to be protruded from a surface of the grasping part 22. The main device 10 includes a first communication port 11 and a second communication port 12, and an interfering part 16 which is formed to be protruded at a position neighboring the second communication port 12 out of a cabinet surface of the main device 10, and interferes with the protruding part 24 when the insertion part 21 is inserted into the second communication port 12.
