PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bag device for a motorcycle, which detects the magnitude of an impact caused a collision by a pressure sensor before an acceleration sensor detects the impact. SOLUTION: A sub frame 21 fixed to a main frame 2 extends to a position in front of a head pipe 3 and a front wheel WF. First and second pressure sensors 24, 25 are provided in airtight sealed spaces 22L, 22R provided at the front end of the sub frame 21. An acceleration sensor 46 for detecting a deceleration G applied to the vehicle body is provided in an air bag ECU 40 fixed to the main frame 2. Upon collision of the motorcycle 1, the degree of the impact (the magnitude of the impact) is determined based on the changes in the output of the pressure sensors 24, 25 caused by the deformation of the sealed spaces 22L, 22R. The threshold L of the deceleration G for determining the ignition timing of a first inflator 31 for deploying an air bag 33 is corrected in accordance with the degree of the impact.
