The device has a retainer (1) with opposite supporting areas (4, 5) connected with an inner wall of a winding case e.g. spiral case, in a force and/or form-fit manner by a tension force of a coupling section (6). An information carrier (3) e.g. active, passive or semi active transponders, and card, is arranged on the retainer such that the carrier is contactlessly readable. The supporting areas are formed by cylinder case sections. The coupling section comprises a clamping element e.g. screwing spring, bar and rod. The retainer is made of paper, pasteboard and cardboard. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a winding goods identification device.
