摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely measure the proton conductivity of an electrolyte membrane having proton conductivity. SOLUTION: A proton conductivity measuring instrument 20 includes: a transparent electrode 42 having light transmittance; and a flexible electrode 45 which is provided in opposed relation to the transparent electrode 42 and of which the surface opposed to the transparent electrode 42 has light reflectivity and flexibility and further including an actuator 51 for variably controlling the distance between the transparent electrode 42 and the flexible electrode 45 and bringing both electrodes into contact with the electrolyte membrane ME between both electrodes, an optical measuring part 30 for measuring the contact area S of the electrolyte membrane ME and the transparent electrode 42 and the thickness (d) of the electrolyte membrane ME in a state that the transparent electrode 42, the flexible electrode 45 and the electrolyte membrane ME are brought into contact with each other and an impedance measuring instrument 47 for measuring the electric resistance R of the electrolyte membrane ME.
