PURPOSE: A crimping terminal fitting method is provided to connect even a thin wire and reduce the weight. CONSTITUTION: A crimping terminal fitting(10) includes a base plate part(23) and a wire barrel(21). The crimping terminal fitting has the wire barrel to be crimped and connected to core strands of a wire. The wire barrel has a base plate continuously extending from a ground terminal(11) in a longitudinal direction. Two core crimping pieces(25) extend from the opposite sides of the base plate. A thinned portion is formed at least at a leading end of each core crimping piece and is thinner than the base plate.
