PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic recording device capable of performing an inspection similar to that of a conventional magnetic recording medium including a magnetic recording layer having a continuous film on a discrete track medium.SOLUTION: The magnetic recording device includes a head slider having a recording/reproducing head, and a magnetic recording medium having a recording track of a width L1 on which magnetic recording is performable, a nonrecording part between adjacent recording tracks, and a wide-land track having a width L2 larger than the width L1. The wide-land track is set in a position where the skew angle of the recording/reproducing head is zero. |
