PURPOSE: A cooking device comprising a user interface for guiding a recipe and a control method thereof are provided to enable a user to cook easily and simply since a recipe suitable for a user-selected food, is guided. CONSTITUTION: A cooking device comprising a user interface for guiding a recipe comprises an input unit, an output unit and a control unit. Signals for selecting foods and recipes cookable using the selected food are input to the input unit. The output unit displays the selected foods and cookable recipes. The control unit controls the cookable recipes using the foods, which is selected according to the input signal, to be displayed on the output unit.
