PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint cover device for a wall, which can efficiently inhibit a joint cover from being bent beyond necessity, even when the joint cover is moved in a smoothly folded manner so as to undergo great wind pressure, in the case where a joint portion is swung to be narrowed by earthquakes.SOLUTION: This joint cover device 1 for the wall includes: the joint cover 6 which has one end turnably attached to an exterior wall skeleton of one building 3 between wall surfaces of right and left buildings, and which can be folded when the joint portion is narrowed; a supporting arm 9 which is movably attached to a guide rail 8 having one end pivoted on the leading end of the joint cover and having the other end fixed to the one building; a bearing arm 12 which has one end pivoted on the almost central portion of the supporting arm, and which has the other end pivoted on the exterior wall skeleton; a supporting arm urging mechanism 15 which urges the other end of the supporting arm so that the joint cover can be put into an almost straight state; and a joint cover holding mechanism 22 which enables the central portion of the joint cover to protrude forward when the joint portion is narrowed. |
