PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transportable knockdown characoal kiln capable of being transported and assembled at a development site, for preventing environmental destruction associated with the development site and treating and effectively utilizing a large amount of huge trees and roots generated and scrapped at the development site. SOLUTION: This charcoal kiln has a ceiling element 2 composed of a fireproof material and plural number of sidewall elements 3, 4, 5 and 6 composed of a fireproof material and attachable to and detachable from the ceiling element 2, wherein the sidewall 3 has a fuel hole h1 and the sidewall 6 is openable. The ceiling element 2 and the plural number of sidewall elements 3, 4, 5 and 6 are disassembled, stacked in a disassembled state, transported to a development site and assembled on-site into the charcoal kiln 1.
