PURPOSE: A seawater chilling system for storing live squids in chilled seawater is provided to store and transport live squids in high density and to reduce expenses for storing and transporting live squids. CONSTITUTION: The seawater chilling system for storing live squids in chilled seawater includes a crawl(20) for storing live squids in chilled seawater of 0-18 deg.c, an ice storage tank(10), a cooling unit(30) having an evaporator(31) installed inside the ice storage tank(10), a unit for sensing seawater temperature in crawl, a unit for sensing the temperature of the chilled seawater stored in the ice storage tank(10), a seawater circulating pump(15) for supplying the chilled seawater of the ice storage tank(10) to the crawl(20), and a controller for supplying the chilled seawater of the ice storage tank(10) to the crawl(20) through seawater circulating pump to maintain the temperature of the seawater in crawl within a predetermined temperature range.
