PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a spring for a slide type portable terminal is provided to facilitate manufacturing springs of a complex shape since a part or the entire of a spring is manufactured through an etching process. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a spring for a slide type portable terminal comprises following steps. A mask with patterns corresponding to the shape of a spring is manufactured. The mask is placed on the metal plate, an etching process is performed, spring with patterns which correspond to spring patterns formed in a mask is remained, and the rest of the springs are removed. A spring for a slide type portable terminal comprises a pair of joints(21) and multiple linear elastic members(23). A pair of joints is combined in a slide module of the portable terminal. The multiple linear elastic members connect each joint.
