A method for operation of cryogenic installation for cooling and liquefaction of gas flow that uses as cryo-agent any gas with temperature of normal boiling lower than 100 K, for instance nitrogen, where cryo-agent is compressed in main compressor, then it is in sequence cooled in end refrigerator with outer air or water, in recuperative heat exchanger due to cold of cryo-agent that is expanded in low pressure turbo-expander and in high-pressure turbo-expander from which cooled to lower temperature cryo-agent with intermediate pressure comes to cold section of main recuperative heat exchanger, then passing through it to inlet of turbo-compressor it cools and liquefies the counter flow of gas, and is heated itself almost to temperature of environment, after that it is compressed in turbo-compressor, is cooled in its end cooler, is expanded and cooled at that in low pressure turbo-expander, it passes through recuperative heat exchanger where it is heated with cooling other flow of cryo-agent and comes for compression to main compressor. To decrease specific losses for cooling and liquefaction of gas flow to design of cryogenic installation there is included an expander-compressor unit comprising two turbo-expanders of high and low pressure and turbo-compressor for one- of multi-stage compression of second flow of cryo-agent. Total energy of sequential expansion of cryo-agent in high pressure turbo-expander and then in low pressure turbo-expander is used for bringing into operation turbo-compressor that increases pressure of second flow of cryo-agent upstream of low pressure turbo-expander. |
