PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent unapproved use of a charging cable by a third person and to suppress robbery of the charging cable in the charging cable of a vehicle for transmitting power from an external power supply of the vehicle to the vehicle.SOLUTION: The charging cable 300 of the vehicle can be attached to/detached from the external power supply 402 and the vehicle 10 and transmits power from the external power supply 402 to a power storage device 150 loaded on the vehicle 10. The cable is provided with an authentication device 350 for authenticating that an operator of the charging cable 300 is an operator who is permitted to operate charging. When the authentication device 350 authenticates that the operator is the operator who is permitted to operate charging, charging is started. |
