PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electro-optical device which is suitable for such a case that the number of colors constituting an image is the same (three or more) as the number of directionally displaying images.SOLUTION: A liquid crystal device 100 is an electro-optical device displaying n (n≥3) types of different images according to the viewing direction and includes: a liquid crystal panel 1 having sub pixels 4 which are arranged in the row direction and in the column direction, contribute to any of n types of images, and emit light of n different colors, and sub pixel groups 5 constituted by n sub pixels 4 which are lined in the row direction and contribute to mutually different images; and a light blocking parallax barrier 50 having an opening 52 which is arranged on the side where light is emitted from the sub pixels 4 of the liquid crystal panel 1 and provided to a position corresponding to the sub pixel 4 contributing to the same image for each sub pixel group 5. In n sets of sub pixel groups 5 lined in the row direction, the sub pixels 4 contributing to the same image emit light of mutually different colors. |
