An OLED display device and a driving method thereof are provided to enhance display quality by minimizing the variation amount of driving current due to the threshold voltage variation of a driving TFT(Thin Film Transistor). An OLED(Organic Light Emitting Diode) display device includes data and gate lines, a high potential driving voltage source, an OLED(OLED), a driving element(DT), an emission element(ET), a compensation capacitor(Coff), and a switch circuit. The data and gate lines deliver a data voltage and a scan pulse. The high potential driving voltage source generates a high potential driving voltage. The OLED is illuminated by current flowing between the high potential driving voltage source and the ground. The driving element controls the current according to the voltage of a first node. The emission element switches a current path between the OLED and the driving element. The compensation capacitor is connected between first and second nodes which are formed at the same pixel area. The switch circuit charges a first voltage at the first node, lowers the first voltage to a second voltage, conducts a current path between the data line and the second node, supplies a negative data voltage to the second node, conducts a current path between the second node and the ground, and maintains the voltage of the first node to a third voltage.
