Printing and reading of point-based code

The method involves printing information by applying drops of a printing composition according to Braille code on a surface (101). Information encoding dot pattern (110) is formed from dots (111, 112) on the surface. Other information are printed by assigning different values to properties e.g. color, during formation of the dot pattern from the dots according to a code. Another dot pattern is formed on the former dot pattern. The dots of the former dot pattern are located on a preset grid (190). The properties are color, fluorescence, shape, surface area, amount and chemical composition. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a printing device for executing a method for printing dot-based code information on a surface (2) a reading device for reading print product (3) a method for testing a print product.
