PURPOSE: A method for forging the outer wheel of a tripod joint is provided to extend the service life of a mold and a device by uniformly distributing a load and to remarkably reduce processing costs. CONSTITUTION: A method for forging the outer wheel of a tripod joint is as follows. A cylindrical molding material is pressed on the top of a press die using a punch and is extrusion-molded. The head unit with inclined surfaces and the diameter unit of the molding material are simultaneously molded. The molding material is offset-molded so that the cross section of the head unit can have a tripod shape. The molding material is extrusion-molded so that a track unit can be formed in the head unit. The molding material is transferred to the press die.
