PURPOSE: A power generation system is provided to improve power generation efficiency by detecting the defect of a solar battery module in advance. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of solar battery modules(10) are serially connected to each other. A storage battery module(30) stores electricity which is generated by the plurality of solar battery modules. A plurality of voltage detecting parts(50) detects the voltage of the plurality of solar battery modules. A plurality of switches are arranged between the plurality of storage batteries of the storage battery module. A control part(70) controls the plurality of switches according to the total voltage that is detected by the plurality of voltage detecting parts. The control part determines the defect of the plurality of solar battery modules.
