PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid alkaline fuel cell enhancing output and durability by containing a carbon dioxide absorber in an anode electrode in the solid alkaline fuel cell using liquid fuel containing a material having ionic conductivity.SOLUTION: The solid alkaline fuel cell 10 includes an anode electrode 12 in which a catalyst layer 20 containing the carbon dioxide absorber is arranged on an electrode base material 4, a cathode electrode 13 in which a catalyst layer 3 is arranged on an electrode base material 5, and an anion conductive polymer electrolyte membrane 1 interposed between the anode electrode 12 and the cathode electrode 13. Liquid fuel containing at least the material having ion conductivity is used as fuel.
