A DIELECTRIC SLAB PLASMONIC OPTICAL INTERCONNECTION APPARATUS

PURPOSE: A dielectric slab type plasmonic optical-connection apparatus is provided to efficiently transfer an optical signal regardless of the distance between two plasmonic waveguides using the optical wave mode of a dielectric slab. CONSTITUTION: Two plasmonic waveguides(100, 400) function as the input-output terminal of a surface plasmon polariton optical signal with respect to two plasmonic elements. A dielectric slab type optical waveguide(200) is located between two plasmonic waveguides. The surface plasmon polariton optical signal is converted into an optical signal in an optical mode. The converted optical signal is transferred between two plasmonic waveguides.
