PURPOSE: A shock absorber is provided to remarkably increase the outer diameter of a disk for a valve by arranging a flow path to be maximally remote from the center of a piston valve. CONSTITUTION: A shock absorber comprises a piston valve(40), a piston body(42), a first valve device(44), and a second valve device(46). The piston valve divides a cylinder tube(20) into a compression chamber(C) and a rebound chamber(R). The piston body has first and second flow paths connecting the compression chamber and the rebound chamber. The first and second valve devices open and close the first and second flow paths. The first flow path is in contact with the inner wall of the cylinder tube and has an intake valve disk(442).
