PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a root vegetable harvester capable of smoothly performing the shoulder-aligning work and stems and leaves-cutting work of the root vegetables drawn out from a field.SOLUTION: By installing a hanging leaves-treating endless belt 44 for winding-in and cutting off the hanging leaves of the root vegetables below the shoulder-aligning endless belt 25, it becomes possible to prevent a case that the hanging leaves tangles with a driving body and driving rotary bodies 51, 52 of the stems and leaves-cutting blades 27a, b, and the shoulder-aligning endless belt 25 to stop the works, and consequently working efficiency is improved, and since the necessity of removing the tangled stems and leaves is eliminated, the labor of a worker is reduced. Also since the hanging leaves which can not be cut off by the stems and leaves-cutting blades 27a, b, can be removed by the hanging leaves-treating endless belt 44 and since the work of removing the hanging leaves from the root vegetables in a sorting work or after completing a harvesting work can be eliminated, the working efficiency is improved. |
