PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the point at issue wherein, heretofore, there is a reflector which is arranged in opposed relation to a sound source or light source to reflect an electromagnetic wave such as sound or light and imparts directionality or brightness but this reflector can not follow an attaching part largely changed in shape and a gap is produced between the reflector and the attaching part to lower the attaching strength of the reflector.SOLUTION: In the reflector wherein a reflecting layer for reflecting the sound or electromagnetic wave is provided on the surface layer part of a base material, the base material is constituted of an elastic rubber and the reflecting layer is constituted of the surface layer wherein a large number of reflecting particles are unevenly distributed. Preferably, the elastic rubber is set to a thermosetting silicon rubber and the reflecting particles comprise Al or an Al alloy. Further, in case that the maximum thickness of the reflector formed by vulcanizing a rubber composition, which is prepared by adding a vulcanizer and the reflecting particles with an average particle size of 10-300 μm to the elastic rubber raw material, in a vulcanizing process, is tmax (mm), the reflector is manufactured by setting the gel time TG obtained from a vulcanization curve to 0.1×tmax+0.3 (min) or more. |
