A rotary switch includes a set of first electrical terminals and a rotor rotatable about an axis of rotation with respect to the terminals. The rotor extends axially between opposite upper and lower ends of the rotor. The lower end of the rotor faces the terminals. The rotor has a first through-bore extending axially between the ends of the rotor and radially offset from the axis of rotation. A second electrical terminal is on the upper end of the rotor on the axis of rotation, a first contact member is in the first bore, and a second contact member is engaged against the second terminal and the first contact member, electrically interconnecting the second terminal and the first contract member. The upper end of the rotor faces the second contact member, wherein rotation of the rotor selectively places the first contact member into contact with the first electrical terminals on the end wall of the housing to close an electrical circuit between the selected first terminal and the second terminal. |
