PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exterior wall building material and a coating liquid for an exterior wall capable of obtaining improved photocatalyst decomposition activity even when coated with a thick film thicker than 2 μm to suppress degradation of an enamel coating surface or a clear coating surface.SOLUTION: In the exterior wall building material provided with a photocatalyst layer on a surface of a base material, the photocatalyst layer is obtained by applying and then drying a photocatalyst coating liquid. The photocatalyst coating liquid contains photocatalytic metal oxide particles, silica particles, and a curable silicone emulsion. The hydrophilic silica particles are partially coated with or modified by the substance containing a hydrophobic group. |
