PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect abnormality of a paper feeder without using a special device.SOLUTION: A lifting plate position storage part 911 stores at predetermined time intervals the positions of a lifting plate measured by a remainder detection sensor 51, from the time a motor 95 starts to ascend until an upper limit detection sensor 39 detects that the upper surface of a bundle of papers S is located at a feed position. A position comparison part 912 compares the current position of the lifting plate and the latest measured position of the lifting plate stored in the lifting plate position storage part 911. When the current position of the lifting plate is identical to the latest measured position of the lifting plate stored in the lifting plate position storage part 911, an abnormality determination part 913 determines that an abnormality occurs in a paper feeder unit 19. |
