<p>An electric motor (100) for a vehicle is applied to a train and comprises a frame (32) which has a cylindrical shape with a rotor (20) disposed on the inner peripheral side thereof, housings (33, 34) which are disposed so as to face each other at both ends of the frame (32) and support a rotor shaft (30), and a fan (11) which is mounted to the rotor shaft (30) and passes outside air as cooling air (A) through the rotor (20). The electric motor is provided with an inlet port (40) which is formed at one end (35) side of the frame, an outlet port (41) which is formed at the other end (36) side of the frame, and a duct (14) which extends in the rotor shaft (30) direction at the outer periphery of the frame (32), covers at least part of the outer periphery, and forms a flow path that guides dust-containing air (B) separated from the cooling air which has flowed in from the inlet port (40) to the outlet port (41).</p> |
