COMPRESSED-AUDIO PLAYER AND AOD SERVICE SYSTEM USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A compressed-audio player and an AOD(Audio On Demand) service system using the same are provided so that a user can listen to high sound quality stereo audio contents provided by an AOD service. CONSTITUTION: An AOD service system using a portable compressed-audio player(107) comprises an AOD server(101). The AOD server(101) is connected to a mobile base station(104) through the Internet(102) and a mobile communication network(103). The mobile base station(104) is connected with a mobile terminal(105) through wireless communication. The mobile terminal(105) is connected with the portable compressed-audio player(107) through a short range wireless communication(106), such as a Bluetooth, a wireless LAN, etc. The AOD server(101), storing compressed audio data files, transmits stored audio data to the user of the mobile terminal(105) through the Internet(102) and the mobile communication network(103) according to the user's download or streaming request. The user accesses the AOD server(101) through the wireless Internet access function of the mobile terminal(105). At this moment, if the user searches the audio contents of the AOD server(101) and selects desired contents, the mobile terminal(105) contacts the portable compressed-audio player(107) through the short range wireless communication(106) and informs the portable compressed-audio player(107) of the location of the selected audio contents in the AOD server(101).
