PURPOSE: A transflective type liquid crystal display device is provided to remarkably improve the brightness thereof in a reflective mode and a transflective mode by using the entire pixel region as a reflective region and a transflective region. CONSTITUTION: A first polarizing plate(120) is placed in an external plane of an array substrate, and has a polarizing axis in a first direction. A second polarizing plate(130) has a polarizing axis in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction, wherein the polarizing axis is placed in the external plane of a color filter substrate. A backlight(150) is prepared in the external side of the first polarizing plate. |
