PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide absorbent for metal electrolytic capacitors capable of greatly reducing leakage of an electrolyte, or the like for drive by rapidly absorbing and immobilizing vapor, or the like in the electrolyte for drive jetted out in operation of an explosion-proof valve.SOLUTION: An aluminum electrolytic capacitor body 1 incorporates a capacitor element in a bottomed cylindrical metal case 2 constituted of aluminum. A pair of lead wires 3a, 3b extends from the capacitor element. A top 2a of the metal case 2 has the explosion-proof valve 4 constituted of a thin-walled part approximately in a cross shape. A bottomed cylindrical cap 6 as a casing has been affixed from above to the capacitor body 1. Absorbent 9 wrapped in a permeable fibrous material 8, such as a nonwoven fabric, filter paper, or the like is disposed in a space S between the cap 6 and the top 2a of the capacitor body 1. The absorbent 9 reduces an amount of the electrolyte, or the like for drive to be jetted out by forming the electrolyte for drive and molecular compounds. |
