PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a halohydrin epoxidase crystal, improved halohydrin epoxidase and a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: There is disclosed a following protein depicted in (a) or (b), and having halohydrin epoxidase activity: (a) a protein comprising an amino acid sequence in which at least either one of the 71st Phe and the 125th Gln in an amino acid sequence comprising a specific animo acid sequence is substituted by another amino acid; and (b) a protein comprising an amino acid sequence in which at least either one of the 71st Phe and the 125th Gln in an amino acid sequence comprising a specific amino acid sequence is substituted by another amino acid and in which one or several amino acids are deleted, substituted or added in the amino acid sequence lacking the 71st amino acid and the 125th amino acid. |
