PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a separator for a fuel cell hardly clogging the passage of produced water during power generation, suppressing decrease in power generation efficiency and increase in contact resistance, and having high mechanical strength and gas non-permeability.SOLUTION: The method for producing a separator 1 for a fuel cell is such that a dense part forming preform sheet 31 is produced by press-forming carbonaceous powder and a thermosetting resin binder under a temperature atmosphere of the softening temperature or higher and lower than the thermosetting temperature of the thermosetting resin, porous part forming powder 21 containing the carbonaceous powder and the thermosetting resin binder is prepared, the dense part forming preform sheet 31 and the porous part forming powder 21 are filled in a molding die having recessed and protruded parts forming surface corresponding to a gas passage 4 shape so that the recessed and protruded parts forming surface is faced to the porous part forming powder 21, and the dense part forming preform sheet 31 and the porous part forming powder 21 are hot-press formed under an atmosphere of a higher temperature out of thermosetting temperatures of the plurality of thermosetting binders by using the molding die. |
