PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric connector in which control of protruding margins of contacts held on bottom faces of frontages is easy.SOLUTION: A receptacle connector 10 is constituted of a plurality of contacts 40 and a housing 20 to hold the contacts 40. The housing 20 has a holding wall 30 in which the contacts 40 are piercingly held, and receiving frontages 25 to 28 which are installed on the front side of the holding wall 30 and in which connectors of the counterpart side are received. The housing 20 has a protrusion 35 protruded from the bottom face of the holding wall 30 facing the receiving frontage 25 to 28. Since the top face 35U of the protrusion 35 which becomes a reference plane of the protruding margins of the contacts 40 has a smaller area, strain does not occur, or if the strain occurs, it is easy to eliminate the strain. Accordingly, it is easy that the protruding margins necessary in order to secure a connection length with the counterpart side contact is given to respective contacts 40. |
