PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide "an on-vehicle device" authenticating personal information for a driver in various conditions requiring authentication without being read by the other.SOLUTION: The on-vehicle device includes: a first display means having a display which a driver and a fellow passenger can view; a second display means installed at a position where it can be viewed only by the driver and not by the fellow passenger seated on a seat other than a driver's seat; a fellow passenger detecting means detecting the seating of the fellow passenger; a storing means for storing seating information for the fellow passenger; an operating means; and a control means for changing over the display destination of a screen necessary for authentication into the display of the first display means or the display of the second display means depending on information detected by the fellow passenger detecting means when requiring the authentication of a user. When determining that the fellow passenger exists and the authentication of the user is required, the control means changes over the display destination of the screen necessary for the authentication into the display of the second display means. |
