Correction control in word processors - using multi-digit line display to allow section of text. to be corrected prior to printing

A word processing system enables corrections to be made in a line of text using a multi-character display. The system has a main control unit containing a central processor, programme memory and data memory. The data memory serves as both a working store and a correction memory. Input is provided by a keyboard with all standard typewriter symbols. A multi digit display allows a string of characters to be shown. Only when an 'end' signal is entered is the line of text printed out. When corrections are made the data is modified to allow for different character space requirements.
