PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for base treads which can have a good balance between each performance of steering stability and rolling resistance; and to provide a pneumatic tire (particularly, a pneumatic tire for cars) having the base tread made using the composition.SOLUTION: The invention relates to the rubber composition for base treads containing 4-55 pts.mass of a coal pitch-based carbon fiber based on 100 pts.mass of a rubber ingredient. |
