PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video recorder which, even under a temperature condition in which an HDD is likely to have a recording deficit, etc., prevents the recording deficit, performs long-term recording, and improves reliability of the HDD.SOLUTION: A control means 21 carries out: a process which performs control so that when the power supply of the video recorder 1 is turned on, the power supply of the HDD 23 is turned off, the power supply of an SSD 24 is turned on, and the HDD is set to be unrecordable; a process which transfer-records from the SSD to the HDD if the HDD is set to be recordable with predetermined timing; and a process which, every predetermined time interval, sets the HDD not to be recordable and adjusts the temperature by temperature adjustment means 15 to 19 when temperatures detected by temperature detection means 13 and 14 are out of a predetermined range, and which, when the detected temperatures are within the predetermined range, turns on the power supply of the HDD if it is off to set the HDD to be recordable. |
