Disclosed is a wireless communication system that performs wireless communication between first and second base station apparatuses respectively having one or more cells or sectors, and a terminal apparatus. The first and second base station apparatuses are respectively provided with: a processing unit that performs scrambling processing on respective first and second transmission data using first and second scrambling codes with a prescribed phase difference, when first and second transmission data that are respectively different for each cell or sector are respectively transmitted to the terminal apparatus; and a transmission unit that respectively transmits to the terminal apparatus the first and second transmission data that have been subjected to this scrambling processing. The terminal apparatus is provided with a reception unit that receives the first and second transmission data and performs scrambling processing on the respective first and second transmission data using the first and second scrambling codes.
