PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weight for easily and effectively press-reducing the volume of garbage within a garbage box.SOLUTION: A garbage compressing weight comprises a weight body having a handle at an upper part thereof and a plurality of projections at a lower part thereof. The weight body may be formed to be covered with a synthetic resin. A covering member 3 made of the synthetic resin is a section of a predetermined thickness coveringly disposed over the weight body, and the handle 4 is installed between recesses thereabove. An upper annular projection 5 has an inclined surface of approximately 45 degrees, and is integrally formed with the covering member 3. Each of a large number of lower annular projections 6 has a similar inclined surface to that of the upper annular projection 5, and they are concentrically and integrally formed with the covering member 3. |
