<p>The invention concerns a method of preparing regression coefficients for predicting the quantity of a component of a lipoprotein entity in a biological sample from NMR spectral data and a method of predicting the quantity of a component of a lipoprotein entity in a biological sample from NMR spectral data, which is based on the regression coefficients. To this end, a spectrally local multivariate regression analysis is performed on the basis of a local subspectrum of an NMR spectrum and a reference quantification of the lipoprotein entity. The invention is especially useful for predicting the triacylglycerol level in chylomicrons of a patient.</p> |
