The method involves providing a user interface including an input device with a control unit for controlling coordination of a display surface (2) i.e. LCD surface. A push button (8) is displayed on the display surface and associated with multiple interaction possibilities. An initiated action performed in connection with the push button is detected using the input device that is provided with a touch-sensitive surface (5). One of the interaction possibilities is activated based on the detected action. An independent claim is also included for a device for controlling a user interface.
