The caster has a generator including a ring (201) that is placed in a hub (13). A set of rods extends towards a corresponding lighting element (203) e.g. electroluminescent diodes, of the ring through a corresponding slot (14). A printed circuit card (25) is placed in the ring and connected to the lighting elements. An annular shell (21) is placed in the ring, and a coil (22) placed in the annular shell is connected to the card. A permanent magnet (23) placed in the coil is separated from the coil. An intermediate element (24) is placed between the permanent magnet and an axle.
