摘要 The invention relates to engine engineering, namely to pistons and compression rings. Proposed piston for an internal combustion engine contains a glass-shaped body (1) with grooves (2) on the peripheral side surface and at least one oil-scraper ring (3) and at least one pair of split compression rings (4), placed in the grooves, which sections (5) are placed in a pair rotated relative to each other at 180 degrees, while each of the coupled compression rings (4) in the area of said section (5) has a vertical slot (6), which is symmetrical to the section, and a lug (7) from the opposite to the slot side, placed in a slot (6) of the other ring (4), fixing the position of one ring (4) relative to the other in the pair and overlapping the corresponding section (5), and in each of the coupled rings (4): the width (a) and the depth (b) of the slot (6) are respectively greater than the width (c) of the section (5) and less than the width (d) of a circular land (8) of the ring (4) on the adjacent to the side wall (2) side in the body (1) of the piston; the height (e) and the length (f) of the fixing lug (7) are respectively equal to the thickness (g) of the ring (4) and the depth (b) of the slot (6), the width (h) of the lug (7) is less than the width (a) of the slot (6). Novelty of the invention is that in each of the coupled compression rings (4) their conjugated between each other lands (8) have the smoothness of treatment that is sufficient to ensure the impermeability of said conjugation, that favours the significant decrease of the break of greatly heated gases in a case, the reduction of the compression rings (4) wear and the increase of their operating life, the increase of compression, reliable performance and efficiency of the internal combustion engine. The slot (6) and the corresponding lug (7) are made from the inner side of each compression ring (4), as a result, during operation the friction between the lugs (7) and the surface of the cylinder does not occur, and also their attrition from long-term performance does not occur, that favours the additional reduction of the compression rings (4) wear and the significant increase of their operating life, the increase of the compression, the reliable performance and the efficiency of the internal combustion engine.
