The pannier has a rigid front part (10) and a rigid rear part (12) with a coupling device i.e. hook, that is provided at an outer side for attachment to a bicycle. The rear part and the front part are arranged opposite to each other and are connected with each other by a folding intermediate part (14) to form a bag interior, whose volume is changed by changing the distance between the front part and the rear part. The rear part and the front part are plate shaped. The intermediate part is made of a waterproof material.
