PHOTOREACTIVE CHITOSAN DERIVATIVES AND THEIR USES

PURPOSE: A photoreactive chitosan derivative is provided to secure safety when applied to the human body and to ensure excellent efficiency for immobilization and release of drug. CONSTITUTION: A chitosan derivative with a photoreactivity hardened by ultraviolet irradiation is represented by chemical formula 1. In chemical formula 1, R1 is a compound including an azido group, and R2 is a compound including a hydroxy group. A biocompatible tissue adhesive composition includes the chitosan derivative and shows photoreactivity hardened by ultraviolet irradiation.
