A method and device for removal of solid contaminants from an air-containing, contaminated oil by feeding the oil to the inlet of a filter separating the contaminated oil in a solid phase, which is retained by the filter, and a liquid phase, which passes the filter and leaves as a filtrate through the outlet of the filter. A back pressure is added on the filtrate outlet. The filtration is more efficient as disturbing air bubbles are avoided. |
