The invention relates to a sealing and tamper-indicating closure for closing systems comprising a hinged cap (1) with an outer sealing element (9). Before the container is filled, the hinged cap (1) can move freely between the open and closed positions, but can be subsequently locked whenever required. The sealing element (9) protrudes from the cap (1), forms a tab with a rated frangible region where it is joined to the cap, and has a locking element (11) at the free end of the tab, which cooperates with a retaining element (12) provided on the outside of the lateral wall of the cap body. The tab (9) is designed in such a manner that the mass and/or centre of gravity thereof is located in a region between the locking element (12) and the frangible region (10), and in the same region a visual indication element is also provided. Once the tab (9) has been locked into place, it rotates automatically under the force of gravity about the retaining element (12) when the rated region is broken, and displaces a visual indication element to a lower position.
